Great,
I haven’t found too many iPad clips for mic stands and of the few I found, the GigEasy does everything this type of gadget should do. Sturdy mount and clamp, landscape/portrait adjustment on-the-fly, genius way to support iPad 2 with the little rubber pads and though it’s a ltittle pricy, I would say consider what you expect it to hold. You don’t want to drop another $500+ because you didn’t spend a little more on an accessory.

iPad mount – A good idea with room for improvement,
I think the GigEasy is a wonderful piece of gear. It functions better than I had expected. A terrific design except for one thing: Don’t drop it! I dropped mine and pieces went everywhere in the car. The main body of the GigEasy consists of a hard plastic shell made in 2 pieces and they are pressed/glued together. A little too much pressure on one of the 4 arms and it will create enough leverage to pry the body apart, and with each arm under spring tension, the springs are anxious to escape! Luckily I am a fix-it type so I gathered up the plastic pieces and the metal springs and put it all back together. Nothing had actually broken, it had just come apart. After close examination it is my opinion that the GigEasy is a bit too fragile for me. I take care of my things but I am not beyond dropping items from time to time. I’m afraid that one day soon I will drop it again and not be so lucky. Also I am afraid to put it into my equipment case for fear that it will be mashed and “un-sprung” should my bag get squeezed too hard. I may go ahead and re-glue the halves together and maybe I’ll also wrap it with some electrical tape to help keep it intact. The GigEasy… A great idea! …but for the price, I expected something a bit more sturdy.

21st century music stand,
Just seeing people’s reactions to it makes it worth having. For the price I was hoping for something more heavy duty, but it does the job. The fact that it can be rotated makes it superior to the other products out there. If it was beefier, I would have given it 5 stars
