http://thisismodern.iscool.net,
This CD is an great live offering from a great band out of New York City. Seeking Homer wail on their acoustic guitars throughout an album some could call a collection of their greatest hits done live and onstage in one of their favorite venues. Recorded at the Wetlands Preserve in Manhattan, this live album consists of an array of great original songs and covers. Excellent tracks include “Playground,” “Greyhound,” “Identity Daydream,” and “Dilemma.” Check this album out if you are a fan of bands like Guster, Dave Matthews Band, or Pat McGee Band. It boasts some of the best acoustic rock around. The CD makes you feel like you are in a crowded, smoky club with your buddies at the show. Two of the best tunes on the ablum are the funky “Weatherman” and the completely acoustic “Policy.” “Policy” is reminiscent of early U2 with vocals sounding just like Bono’s. In certain tracks you hear some lyrics from the Beach Boys and Beastie Boys and even a little bit of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” They do a great job covering Men At Work’s “Down Under.” Overall this album is worth your listen and definitely go buy it. It’ll definitely make you crave their two previous studio offerings, “Streets” and “… A Good Hard Smack,” and absolutely make you travel far just to catch one of their live shows.

This is a great live cd. Good quality. The band is much better live than in the studio in my opinion

Laughing & Loving & Living,
Seeking Homer always sounds best live. This 3rd release, 2 CD set gives you the best sample of their unique rock/pop/folk blend. Electric Guitarist Tom Conners creates unique, artistically pleasant chords that entice you to listen. These chords combined with the vocals and acoustic guitar of Dave Oberacker, the fast beat of drummer Micheal Seda and the bass rhythm of James Dunlop result in a fun, upbeat sound that is sure to please. This release includes Seeking Homer greats such as “Playground”, “Greyhound”, “Astray” and their own rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner.”…
