David Bowie, A Person of Many Faces
David Bowie is a person of many skills, as demonstrated by his long and fertile careers in the music and motion picture industry. The Englishman is well known as one of pop-rock’s best innovators, challenging the static dexterity concerned in the music of his time. Bowie has collaborated with many top musicians, collaborating with Beatles member John Lennon for the track ‘Fame ‘, and with rock and roll band Queen for ‘Under Pressure’.
In the 1970s, Bowie redefined the glam rock movement with his Ziggy Stardust persona. The androgynous creation had a wacky fashion style punctuated with a cool redhead coif. He released the album The Increase and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders of Mars featuring the hit single ‘Starman ‘, a fitting title for his act. This persona was later dropped as Bowie attempted to try experimenting with somewhat more subdued offerings compared to the eclectic Ziggy Stardust version.
